Our Portugal
We live in Proença-a-Nova, a rural community living and working with the forest

Proença-a-Nova

Proença-a-Nova is a rural community living and working with the forest. Rolling hills covered in pine, eucalyptus, and cork oak trees overlook a tapestry of olive groves and vineyards. But these forests are more than just a thing of beauty—they are an essential part of rural life. Look closely, and you will see the remains of old agricultural terraces winding their way along the slopes of the forest. This incredible network of terraces, built upon dry-stone walls constructed by hand, reminds us that rural life is one of resourcefulness, ingenuity and creativity.

Wild Bunch & Co. is part of a community that continues the tradition of working directly with the forest, engaging in activities such as resin tapping and gathering firewood. Wild herbs, mushrooms, and honey are also wild-harvested from the forest, contributing to a rural way of life in Proença-a-Nova that values both sustainability and heritage.
